It involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and rebalance the body's systems. This ancient practice has been used for centuries to alleviate pain, promote relaxation, and improve overall health.
Acupuncture can effectively treat a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:
Pain conditions: nerve pain (ei: sciatica), musculoskeletal issues, inflammation, migraines/headaches, back pain, neck pain, arthritis
Sports injuries: sprains, strains, tendonitis
Sleep disorders: insomnia, dream-disturbed sleep, nocturia
Digestive disorders: irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, constipation, diarrhea
Women's health issues: menstrual irregularities, fertility support, menopausal symptoms
Emotional well-being: stress, anxiety, depression,
Respiratory conditions: allergies, asthma, sinusitis
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses for more than 2,000 years. TCM is based on a belief in yin and yang, defined as opposing energies. When yin and yang are in balance, you feel relaxed and energized. Out of balance, however, yin and yang negatively affect your health.
Aesthetics
In California, only licensed acupuncturists and medical professionals such as a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), or medical doctor (MD) can perform microneedling. Daniel decided to be one of the few practitioners to offer this procedure in Sonoma County and received his microneedling certification from EastWest Microneedling at the Acupuncture and Integrative School of Medicine in Berkeley.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is beneficial for anyone who suffers from acute or chronic pain due to stress, injury, or neurologic or musculoskeletal issues that causes pain and discomfort. By understanding the neuromuscular system, fascial tissue, and how the body copes with imbalances, we can help treat the root causes of discomfort and reduce pain at the same time.
